All New B&D Enviropanel™

B&D Enviropanel™ is a total insulated door system that doesn’t cut corners. It is purposed designed as a complete system, not just a door, making it the perfect choice for the modern home. The insulating door balances cutting edge technology with beautiful and innovative design, and is aimed to be an environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to living, in a way that can save on the drastically increasing prices of heating and cooling as well as reducing your homes carbon footprint.

The Enviropanel insulating garage door is the product of several years of scientific research, advanced design and testing. The system starts with insulated garage door panels, produced using two layers of high quality steel skin and a solid Expanded Polystyrene (EPS) sheet core. The EPS has been proven to have minimal ‘thermal drift’. This means the product will retain its insulation properties longer than other comparable materials used in insulated garage doors.  It is this high level of attention to detail and use of advanced technologies and materials that place the Enviropanel garage door far ahead of its competitors.

Each panel features an energy efficient thermal break that effectively separates the inner and outer skins of the panel, reducing thermal transmission from the front to the back of the door. This is key in the Enviropanel’s superior design. Without a thermal break, heat (or cold) easily transfers between the panels, reducing the effectiveness of the garage door insulation. This means that there is a drastic reduction in both heat and cold that can enter the garage and your home through the door, ensuring a more consistent, pleasant temperature and helping combat the need for heating or cooling.

Finally, the Enviropanel door features a complete sealing system. Between the panels, a thermal barrier joint seal, running the full width of the door, seals off the inherent gaps between each panel. Also around the door, the jamb/lintel edge seal, available in four contemporary colours, seals any gaps there may be between the door and the opening. A deep cushioning ‘U’ shaped flexible vinyl extrusion attached to the bottom panel, seals off any gaps between the door and floor.

This complete sealing system works to combat air migration. The B&D Enviropanel is now available and comes wet painted to match the B&D sectional steel door colour range, and features a high quality reflective embossed surface. The addition of an Enviropanel insulated garage door is a simple and effective means to progress towards sustainable living.
